Working in Selfridges,I got the opportunity the other day to get a pamper day from my colleagues and because it was my birthday I decided to go for the St Tropez spray tan, have a blow dry ,do my make up and get my eyebrows done. After all…why not?
St Tropez Spray Tan
Im gonna start with the St Tropez spray tan.The reason why I went to get a tan in the first place,is because I tried at home a week before my birthday to the tan myself.I bought the St Tropez lotion I watched youtube videos on how to do it properly with latex gloves and so on.Unfortunately for me it kind of went wrong cause I put too much and all the tan was rubbing off (hence why I wanted to get rid of it and get a fresh one from a professional).
Unfortunately I didn’t took any pictures but I can tell you about my experience in there.I had my appointment at 11:30 but the girl that suppose to do my tan was bit late.I didn’t mind it as I had a look around the beauty department. After 15 min she arrived apologising for being late.I was fine with it,and we went into the treatment room. The whole process lasted around 10-15 min and in 1 min I was already dry and super happy with myself and ready to go straight to work. Because she was late she offered me the spray tan for free(usually its £25).I was super happy with the service and the tan(I still have it after 6 days)
I would definitely recommend going there if you have a special event and need a quick tan(apparently they will close the only St Tropez spray tan in London in 1 month).
Blow dry at Hershensons
For the blow dry I decided to go to Selfridges again just because I was ableto do everything in one place and my appointments were one after each other. I chose the half half look blow dry from Hershensons and in 30 min I was ready(including washing my hair).
Make up at Bobbi Brown
I had my make up done at Bobbi Brown simply because they are the only ones that don’t ask you to pay for a makeover plus they offer you free lessons on how to put make up on.I wanted to go for something natural with a eye cat wing nude gloss and bronzer only cheeks.I was super happy with the results(see the picture above)and the lovely girl that did my make up was called Lauren(just in case you want to give it a try).
Eyebrows
This was a complete nightmare!I used to go and do my eyebrows at Groom in London, however the girl that used to do them left the company, therefore I was left with no one to do my eyebrows. After weeks of doing it myself I decided I will try Cowshed(selfridges).I hesitate in the beginning as its a bit pricey £24 but then I was like…well its my birthday will give it a try…I had my appointment at 7:15 and was hoping to finish by 7:45 and then run to Heathrow to get my mum from the airport.I arrived at 7:15 and was left waiting until 7:45 until I told the receptionist that I will leave if the girl doesn’t get me in 5 min.She came at me laughing and said “We are sorry madame but the cosmetician is still with a client in the treatment room however someone will see you shortly”.After another 10 min a girl came ( I was basically waiting in the manicure-pedicure salon which has very low light and is made specially to relax). The girl asked me “Do you mind if I do your eyebrows in here?”I was shocked and I asked her if she’s sure she can do my eyebrows in here as the light is very low.She said yes and in less than 5 min I was ready with ruined eyebrows. To be clear this treatment should of been done in the treatment room while laying down on a bed with strong light for around 30 min.
Honestly I wasn’t so angry in my entire life.I asked the receptionist if she thinks this is normal, and she was just smiling and laughing at me and the only thing she can do for me is to give me 50%.I did payed the half price but I will never be back in there.
